I started my journey as a physiotherapist in 1999 and understood the theory of core stability/Pilates but it wasn’t until I suffered with back and Pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy myself I truly understood the real benefits of pilates.

The rationale for Pilates is strengthening the lower abdominal, spinal and muscles which surround the pelvis to form your ‘core’ in order to protect and support your spine. Pilates may be helpful for the following conditions:

  • Back pain
  • Pelvic girdle pain in Pregnancy
  • Running injuries
  • Chronic pain
  • Recurring pain
